Return to Face to Face Learning

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I hope you and your family are safe and healthy as you read this message.  Thank you so much for your patience and understanding as we have been adjusting, like you, to the drastic changes in life during the last few weeks.

I am extremely appreciative of our parents, students, teachers, staff, and administrators for their positivity, flexibility and resilience during these trying times.

A huge debt of gratitude also goes to all of our doctors, nurses, hospital employees, first responders, essential workers and our state leaders for all they are doing to keep us safe and healthy.

With the years 3, 4 & 5 students returning to school, please be aware of the following arrangements effective from June 9th to June 26th.

Parents will NOT be able to enter the school grounds and are advised not to congregate in the carpark but to adhere to the social distancing rules. Staff will be outside directing students to class from both Ross and Rogers street gates. Please ensure that you pick your child up from the gate that you dropped them off in the morning.

We endeavour to keep everyone safe, and for this to happen, we need parent, students, teachers and community participation in our COVID19 safety plan.
Social distancing is the new normal, regular handwashing, and hand sanitiser must be practised frequently.
As part of our preventive measures and safety routines, we are checking our staff and students' temperatures every morning.

As we move ever closer to a return to some form of normality, I once again wish to thank you for all your support and feedback during these past few weeks of remote and flexible learning. As a community I believe we can be truly proud of what we have been able to achieve and the way we have gone about it. The whole school community has worked together very effectively and upheld our Academy values of integrity, belonging, joy, and respect, whilst continuing to provide a high quality education for our students in a very different and difficult setting. We now eagerly look forward to welcoming our upper school students back to school.

Thank You
Ms. Leyla Mohamoud
Head of Campus
